Hello Monday. You've been slow - partly because of the stifling heat, and a smidgen because I broke a fluorescent light tube last night, but mostly because of my unenthusiastic attempt to reel away from activity.
Classes at the seminary ended on Friday (with a nifty graduation service and friends and family who came to join in the festivities) but the weekend went on, industrious and in full speed. No immediate break or breather. And last night I dropped a light tube while trying to change it. Let's just say I wished it never happened, or that I was lazy enough to forget about it until the next day, or that my dad didn't think it was a good idea to let me try. Past 1am I was still wiping down furniture, vaccuuming relentlessly and discovering hidden shards of glass. Google tells me of mercury vapours and phosphorus powder but I'm trying very hard not to think of what I inhaled in as I stood there unable to move as the smashed tube lay between me and the door.
So today my mind tells me to stop and rest, especially after 12 weeks of school, but it feels strange. Perhaps it's just as well I begin full-time hours at ice-cream wonderland tomorrow. Excitings. And! Dave arrives in less than 4 weeks :) :) so yeah, time, hurry up and move on quickly.
